Guida(?) was in half guard working for a darce and Anik said something along the lines of 'there's not much Guida can do in this position'. Another instance came when I was watching Guida v Kawajiri I think it was. WITHOUT FAIL Anik would lose his shit as the crowd reacted, even though half the punches didn't land and the other half were slipped by Ross. I don't know if you noticed on saturday, in the co-main around the 15 second mark at the end of the round, Diego would constantly go for one of his trademark wacky-waving-inflatable-arm-flailing-tubeman flurries. At least Goldberg actually knows when a guy is in a rough spot on the ground, or when one fighter is clearly dominating in a technical striking exchange. It's not just that he acts like some sort of robotic company man, it's like he has no idea what he's watching. He's one of the few commentators in the world whose commentary actually lessens the experience of the event I'm watching. I'm sure he's a nice guy and all but holy shit does he suck the life out of an event.
